PRODUCT CARE
HOW LONG WILL MY BAMBOO TABLEWARE LAST?

At Tre’s Lunchbox, we design our bamboo dishware to last a lifetime. But because our eco-friendly tableware comes from nature, it requires handling with care. Natural Care.

Avoid heavy falls and consistent banging by securing the suction piece to a high chair or table when using our baby plate. Doing so can help avoid cracks, splits, scuffs, or other damage.

You can extend the lifetime by seasoning or oiling your bamboo products monthly as often as you feel necessary. Seasoning your bamboo dishware preserves the moisture that wooden baby plates and wooden baby spoons need to last.

Apply a generous application of coconut oil monthly to condition the layers of your bamboo tableware and keep the wood resilient and shining.

WASHING & RESTORING YOUR BAMBOO TABLEWARE

Because bamboo is naturally antibacterial and microbial, you can wash your bamboo baby plates, baby spoon, and more with simply warm, soapy water. To further protect the integrity of your bamboo dishware, please:

1) Remove the silicone plate or spoon ring so that the product can thoroughly dry.

2) Avoid soaking your bamboo tableware for prolonged periods. As we know, natural products in water environments are conducive to mildew.

HOW OFTEN DO I SEASON/OIL MY BAMBOO TABLEWARE?

Seasoning your bamboo tableware should happen monthly, for about 5-10 minutes each session. Follow the steps below to protect your bamboo plate sets so they last for an exceptionally long time:

1) Clean and fully dry your baby plate set. Make sure your bamboo tableware collection is as clean as possible and thoroughly dry.

2) Using a dry, clean cloth or paper towel, apply the oil in an even layer over the entire surface of your bamboo dishware. (We recommend coconut oil, almond oil, walnut oil, carnauba wax, or Linseed oil).

3) Soak in oil overnight if possible or for at least 3-4 hours.

4) Remove any excess oil with a dry, clean cloth or paper towel. Wipe until your bamboo baby plate or baby spoon does not feel wet or sticky to the touch.

WILL MY BABY PLATE STAIN WITH FOODS LIKE SPAGHETTI?

Preventative maintenance for your bamboo baby plate is critical. What we mean is, if you are seasoning your kid's bamboo plate monthly and on an as-you-need basis, your baby plate should be fine.

In the unfortunate event that your bamboo suction plate gets stained, treat the stain ASAP. Using laundry detergent or BSP Solution:

1) Mix water and baking soda to form a paste.

2) Apply the paste to the stain and rub softly with a non-abrasive towel.

3) Rinse and repeat if necessary.

The faster you treat the stain, the better the results will be. Remember to spot-check a small area of your bamboo toddler plate first to ensure there're no adverse reactions.
